Are you interested in a rewarding career with great benefits? Join the PCSO green team! We are always seeking to hire qualified applicants. Please check out our job requirements below. Positions are filled periodically, but others become available due to promotions and transfers.

We are currently offering sponsorships to the law enforcement-only, detention-only, or dual-enrollment academy (which offers both the law enforcement and detention certification) for qualified applicants - we cover the tuition and pay a monthly stipend (approximately 8 months) and hire you upon completion of the academy.

Applicants for law enforcement and detention positions who are already Florida-certified are eligible for reimbursement of their academy tuition if we are the first law enforcement employer. Reserve Deputy Sheriff positions are on a voluntary basis.

We are currently offering sign-on bonuses for all newly hired sworn (law enforcement) or certified (detention) deputies. We ALSO pay a $1,000 moving allowance for those who move to Polk. We have an education incentive program as well: if you already have a college degree you'll be paid a college incentive bonus every year - and if you don't have one yet, we'll pay for that too with college reimbursement pay.
