CRIME: RETAIL THEFT
CRIME SCENE: CIRCLE K, 4415 OLD KATHLEEN RD, LAKELAND
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE #23-48359
Polk County Sheriff's detectives are looking to identify the theft suspect seen here who stole a donation bucket filled with cash from the Circle K store located at 4415 Old Kathleen Road in Lakeland.
The theft occurred at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2023. The suspect, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, with short cropped hair and a thin beard, was hanging around the counter where the phone chargers are when the clerk observed him putting a charger in his pants pocket. As the clerk approached him, he took a pink bucket from the counter that was filled with cash, under his jacket, then ran from the store - smiling. The purpose of the bucket was for donations for a citizen who had had surgery and needed financial assistance.
